Jacci was originally going to graduate in the 1972 J. I. Case High School class.
Because Jacci was a Valedictorian (the highest level
of academic achievement out of all the students in her
class) she accelerated to our class of 1971, graduating
early.
Jacci graduated on June 7, 1971. She had a great outlook
going forth into life, so many opportunities were offered
to her. But it was summertime and time for her to finally
enjoy some rest from her demanding studies for a short
time.
On July 13, 1971 Jacalyn was in a very bad car accident.
Jacci was very severly injured. So injured that the
doctors had little or no hope of saving Jacci's life.
But Jacci was miraculously revived! She was alive but
left with permanent brain damage. Her brain comprehends,
but her speech and walking are very greatly affected.
Jacci uses an alternative way to communicate, an alpha
board.
After Jacci's long recovery in the hospital, Jacci was
moved to care facilities near her parents who lived
in Racine, WI (and then Kenosha, WI). Her mother Veda
was with Jacci and took tedious and loving care of Jackie
for decades in hopes of Jacci's recovery. Her father
Curtis Van Allen I (the 1st) was with Jacci for much
time too.
Jacci's father Curtis passed away in 2015. A great loss
to Jacci!
Then Jacci's mother Veda passed away in 2018. A very
great loss!
Jacci's sister Nancy Van Allen lived in Plymouth, MI.
and Nancy moved to Racine, WI to be close to Jacci.
Jacci currently resides in Union Grove today.

node cancer on April 6, 2015 at the age of 62 years.
Rita worked at Samsung. She lived in Bastrop, Texas.
Rita was passionate about life and her family. |

Deceased. Chris was one of our classmate twins and was
the twin of Sue Voetberg. Chris passed away at home in
Sturtevant on February 27, 2007 at 54 years old after
a long illness with hyperthyroidism. Chris was born in
Racine on August 17, 1953 to Ralph and June (nee, Sondergaard)
Voetberg.

Chris is survived by her father Ralph Voetberg, twin
sister Sue, sister Cory Rosen, nieces and nephews: Jennifer
Lopez-Staton, Emily Rosen & George Rosen, and Aunt
Nettie Jenkins. Chris was preceded in death by her husband
Wes Hans and her mother June Voetberg, sister and her
uncle, Buck Jenkins. |

Deceased. Sue was one of our classmate twins and was
the twin of Chris Voetberg. Sue passed away on May 5,
2014 at 60 years old Froedtert Memorial Hospital from
Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Sue was born in Racine
on August 17, 1953 to Ralph and June (nee, Sondergaard)
Voetberg. Sue was an avid Badger and Packer fan. Sue loved
her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending holidays with
friends and family, especially Christmas. |
Sue is survived by her children, Shawn (Wally) Scanlon,
Stacy (Jerome) Cannon and Patrick (Alicia) Meshenky; grandchildren,
Morgan Scanlon, Ana Cannon, Alex Cannon, Makenzie Scanlon,
Wesley Meshenky, Nanea Meshenky and Waysen Meshenky; her
father Ralph Voetberg; sister Cory Rosen; nieces and nephews:
Jennifer Lopez-Staton, Emily Rosen and George Rosen; and
Aunt Nettie Jenkins. Sue is also survived by other relatives
and special friends Debbie, Jackie, and Marci. She was
preceded in death by her mother June Voetberg; twin sister
Chris and brother-in-law, Wes Hanson; and her uncle, Buck
Jenkins. |
