Married 28 years to Dave Gehlbach; no
children. I am a retired middle school teacher, enjoying
a more relaxed life now, though I often find myself back
at my old school, long term subbing for teachers on maternity
leaves. Many years ago I acted on my long time fascination
with NASA by attending Space Camp for Teachers. Great
fun! Claim to Fame: Awarded Teacher of the Year by the
Wheeling, IL Rotary Club; was one of several representatives
to travel to Washington D.C. to accept the Blue Ribbon
of Excellence Award for our school from President Clinton. |

Kingston where 20% of our students are native American.
I have been honored to have been invited to paddle in
a coast Salish cargo canoe wit the Pt. Gamble S'Klallam
Tribe on tribal journeys for the past three summers. A
current passion of mine is Zumba! |

I'm living out here in the high desert
of NM trying to eke out a living as a self-employed goldsmith
making one of a kind and custom jewelry. I used to teach
adults the finer points of goldsmithing and gem setting
at Howard Academy for the Metal arts back in Stoughton,
WI and finally struck out on my own. My husband Tom &
I moved out here a year ago after he took an early retirement
from the UW. Now I make jewelry, hike in the desert and
mountains, learn about NM history and drink the fine local
wines & margaritas! Love it! |
